Lieberman noted that cooler temperatures over the last couple weeks has brought an increase in calls for rodent problems, including rats, mice and squirrels invading homes and businesses in Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in Virginia.
Pest Control Tips
"As homeowners prepare for winter, inspect your home for cracks and crevices that could allow cold air as well as mice and rats to enter," Lieberman said. "Sealing entry points with concrete or a silicone-based caulk will help keep invaders out."
Other rodent tips include storing bird and grass seed as well as pet food in sealed containers and keeping garage doors closed.
